This weeks feature Friday is from my son's room. Again, using our beautiful boutique frames. The 16x20 is an image from his newborn session. He was just 5 days old here! The smaller image is from our family photos last fall. It's a bit small too for a wall, but either way, he still loves them. And so do I! (iPhone photo makes it looks a bit distorted)

Trash the dress charity event - Saskatoon Photographers
Each and every year we have so much fun at our Trash the dress for charity event! Last year we did it in August, and the day was a blast! It's something I look forward to each and every year! We raised $26, 670 for the Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan with CN Rail matching our donation, making our total raised for the event over $50, 000. How incredible is that?! Pretty awesome for 7 brides to take credit for:). While our brides do all of the fundraising for the event, we have some pretty amazing local businesses that also take part! Each and every year when the total amount of money raised is announced, my jaw is on the floor and tears well up in my eyes. Feature Friday - Saskatoon Photographers
This week, our Feature Friday is featuring my daughters room. Back when she was 16 months old, I took her to Joi Photography for a princess session. It was so much fun that I took over Joi Photography's tutu collection and started our very own princess sessions! This is an image of my little princesses room. While this image is a couple years old now, It's still an all time fav! The frame is from the supplier we use for all of our boutique frames! I love how versatile these frames are! Plus, if I ever decide to, I can always swap out the images. The smaller image is a shot from our maternity session. Still an all time favorite. (Again, don't mind the iPhone photo.)

Princess sessions - Saskatoon photographers
Last year we had another set of princess sessions. It was so much fun! Let us paint the picture for you.
"You're 4 years old, you come into our studio wearing your favorite pink leggings and your mom has done your hair so pretty. You walk into the studio and there are tutu's, necklaces, hair clips, bracelets and even clip on earrings! You get to choose anything you want to wear!!! You are so excited, but a little nervous!!! There are so many choices, it's hard to choose, but you pick the pink tutu, the pink necklace and the gold earrings. You choose to wear every single bracelet there is, because it's hard to choose just one! Your nerves have turned into excitement, because you love to dress up. Mandy is so nice and puts on loud music. You love to dance, so you just start to dance. There are big lights there that flash and you feel just like a model, dancing with Mandy, laughing and playing with the toy guitar. Mandy says you can change if you want, so you pick the brown tutu with the green necklace and the huge white flower for your hair. You feel so special that you can choose anything you want to wear. The loud music continues to play and Mandy starts acting really goofy which gets you giggling like crazy! Mandy is so funny! Before you know it, it's time to take everything off and as much as you don't want to, its time to go. It's OK though, because Mandy gives you a crown that you get to take home and a treat!!!! You love treats!!!! You go home, and think about how much fun that was and you ask mom if you can come back tomorrow to do it all over again. Your mom gets really excited a couple of weeks later because some pictures arrive. It's images of you, in the tutu's, dancing, laughing, playing and having a blast! Your mom even lets you put a picture up in your room. You ask your mom again and again to go back to Mandy's studio so you can dress up again and play. Your mom says, maybe next time. You can't wait!!!!"
Now tell me, does that sound like the ultimate dream of a little girl? I think so! Here are some images from our last round of princess sessions!

This Friday, I would like to feature the biggest gallery in our home. It's in the stairway, and its probably my favorite gallery wall of all! Why? Because it has images of all of our family. My kids love this one the best too! So if you need some gallery wall inspiration, take a peek at ours! Its something we can always add to or take away from. I love it!

This family received a gift certificate a while back. I was excited when they contacted me to capture their little family. This little girl was sweet, a tiny bit shy, and loved to explore, but was most comfortable in her moms arms. It was so great to finally meet them.
Feature Friday - Saskatoon Photographers
We obviously love photography! And with that being said, we love to decorate our home with it. We feel like there is no art that is more personal than images of your loved ones. So, every Friday we are going to feature some of our room displays in our home. Most of the images were not taken by me, because I am in them, but some of them are. I absolutely love using images of my loved ones as art in my home, and so do my kids! They are always pointing everyone out in all of the images.
These photos were taken with my iPhone, so they aren't fancy, but it gives you a great idea of what you can do in your own home with your images. The first is an image of 2-16x20 canvases that grace our entrance. They are of my kids, so as soon as I walk in the door, there is a smile on my face:).
