Feature Friday - Saskatoon Photographers

When you walk in the door to our home, straight ahead we had room for a little entry way table and a perfect spot to hang a 20x30 image of our family, so we did just that.  I purchased this frame long before I became a photographer and have since changed the image about a dozen times.  I love this image of our family!  Then, 2 smaller 5x7 prints to set on the table as well.  Again, in frames we've had kicking around for years!  This little spot is much cuter in person.  It was hard to capture while avoid the glare from the window.

Urban Ballerina - Saskatoon Photographers

My sister in law lives in Calgary and last fall while we were there visiting, she asked me if I could do some photos of one of her dance students as a gift to her mom.  After chatting a lot about what we had envisioned for the session, we decided on going with an urban ballerina theme.  I love how the session turned out!  With the mix of the pretty tutu and point shoes along with the grungy setting of downtown Calgary.  This stunning young lady is so extremely talented and did incredible for her session.  We had her dance instructor (my sister in law) along to do most of the posing, and she nailed it!  I was so impressed by how strong and flexible she was and how she doesn't look cold, considering it was right around 0 degrees out that day.  I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to capture these images.

Mother & Daughter - Saskatoon family photographers

This mom contacted me to do a session of her daughter as a 'sweet 16' gift.  I convinced mom to be in some of the images as well.  Needless to say, these two women are stunning.  I could have photographed them all day!  I'm playing around with different styles of how to showcase our images.  Which do you prefer?  This way?  Or slideshow style?

She said "YES" - Saskatoon Photographers

I have been lucky enough to photograph this little family of 3 for the last few years.  I always tease him that he hasn't popped the question yet.  For some reason, this time, I didn't.  We had a great session at the Mendel Art Gallery here in Saskatoon, and I was almost ready to put my camera away, when all of a sudden I turn around and he is down on one knee reaching in his pocket!!!!  I couldn't believe that he had chosen to do this right here, right now!!!  I felt so lucky to have witnessed this beautiful young woman, who I have grown to know over the last few years, "Say YES".  I'm not sure who was more surprised!  Her or me?!  Either way, I was crying, with goosebumps, and was beyond excited for these clients, who have turned into friends of mine.  This is the second proposal I have been lucky enough to photograph, and I sure hope it isn't the last.  This session was back in December, but felt today was an appropriate time to post it.
